The Story of Polat Foundation
Founded in January 2023 by Adnan Polat and his family, the purpose of the Polat Foundation is to support our community in Türkiye by developing facilities and providing social assistance in education, sports, environmental initiatives, and cultural projects. The foundation aims to contribute to the development of individuals, helping them to become culturally and educationally enriched, to uphold the founding principles of the country, and to play an active role in the advancement of society.
In the days following its establishment, the Polat Foundation’s first initiative was to provide aid and emergency response to the earthquake-affected areas in February 2023. The Foundation, which has been active in relief efforts in the earthquake-affected provinces, continues to provide humanitarian assistance at the temporary container housing settlement it has set up in İskenderun and Samandağ.
From the outset, the Polat Foundation delivered emergency aid to the affected regions swiftly and in a coordinated manner. In collaboration with TÜREB (Turkish Wind Energy Association), the foundation dispatched hundreds of technicians to support infrastructure repairs immediately after the earthquake. Additionally, in the aftermath of the disaster, the foundation provided hundreds of generators and tents to the region and, in partnership with Galatasaray Sports Club, offered food and in-kind assistance.
