Collaboration with Koruncuk Foundation
Polat Foundation has partnered with Koruncuk Foundation to support girls in earthquake-affected areas who face challenges in accessing education. Through this collaboration, the Polat Foundation and the Koruncuk Foundation have provided assistance to girls affected by the earthquake in the districts of Samandağ, İskenderun, and Defne in Hatay. With the coordination of the Polat Foundation and support from local authorities, an application for education support was submitted to the Koruncuk Foundation for more than 100 students aged between 10 and 18 in the Samandağ, İskenderun, and Defne districts of Hatay on July 17, 18, and 19, 2023.
Collaboration with the Nesin Foundation
Polat Foundation has signed a collaboration protocol with Nesin Foundation, which supports children aged 3-11 from Anatolia who lack access to reading resources but have a strong desire to read. Together, the foundations are continuing their partnership in the earthquake-affected region, particularly in Hatay, providing in-kind aid and support, as well as organizing workshops and events to empower and inspire the local community.
Protection and Promotion of Salda Lake's Cultural Heritage Project
Polat Foundation has sponsored the production of films to be featured across various media platforms, aiming to promote the region and contribute to a sustainable future. Salda Lake, recognized for its ecological significance, has been placed under protection by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye to combat threats such as groundwater depletion and urban development. The foundation is actively supporting ongoing efforts to raise awareness about this critical issue.
FMV Işık Schools Collaboration
FMV Işık Schools is an institution dedicated to contributing to national education with the mission of raising "First, Good People." Through the collaboration of the Polat Foundation and FMV Işık School's teachers and administrators, New Year gifts prepared by students and their families were delivered to children affected by the earthquake in Hatay. On December 30 and 31, these gifts were distributed to the students of Selim Tevfik Eskiocak Anatolian High School in the Defne district, Karaçay Primary School, and children of all ages residing in Polatköy Container Settlement in the Samandağ district.
