In January 2023, we established Polat Foundation to bring together Polat’s long-standing tradition of solidarity and its numerous charitable initiatives under one roof. By consolidating our efforts, we aim to approach our projects in a more structured and focused manner, ensuring a greater impact and sustainability in supporting our community.

Our mission is to support our society in Türkiye through social assistance in education, sports, environmental initiatives, and cultural projects. We are dedicated to helping nurture young generations who are highly educated, culturally enriched, committed to the principles of the country, and poised to contribute positively to society.

From the very beginning, we have prioritized making a meaningful impact on the lives of women and girls. By focusing on their education, personal development, and involvement in sports, we aimed to foster a future grounded in equality and opportunity.

In February 2023, just one month after our foundation’s establishment, our country faced a devastating earthquake that left the nation in mourning. This tragedy underscored the magnitude of our responsibility. In the aftermath, Polat Foundation, alongside Polat Holding and its group companies, worked tirelessly to address critical needs in the earthquake-affected areas. Our contributions ranged from search and rescue operations to maintaining supply chains, providing energy to tent and container settlements, and fulfilling urgent requests from affected individuals and communities, including milk supplies for mothers.

One of our significant efforts was the establishment of the Polatköy Container Settlement in Samandağ, featuring 123 fully equipped housing containers, on land allocated by AFAD. I extend my heartfelt condolences to those rebuilding their lives and mourning their losses. May those who lost their lives rest in peace and may those affected find the strength to endure. I also wish to express my profound gratitude to the dedicated employees of Polat, whose selfless efforts made a difference during these challenging times.

This earthquake reminded us that our mission extends far beyond our original vision. There are countless steps to take in improving social life in Türkiye. As Polat Foundation, we are committed to addressing critical societal issues with a human-centered approach. Through sports and education-focused projects grounded in gender equality, we strive to support the education and development of all children.

Over the past year, we have undertaken numerous impactful projects aligned with these principles. To aid the normalization process in the earthquake-affected regions, we initiated a social facility and sports field project. As part of this, we proudly opened Suna Polat Youth Center in Samandağ, named in honor of our beloved mother. This center accommodates up to 350 people and serves as the youth center of Samandağ.

Additionally, in collaboration with Polat Energy, we launched the social responsibility project Geleceğe Yeşil Işık Yak (Green Light for the Future), focusing on environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources, reaching thousands of children. Beyond this, we continue to support children and young people across all segments of society through projects in education, sports, and environmental initiatives. Our partnerships with esteemed institutions such as FMV Işık Schools, Koruncuk Foundation, and Nesin Foundation enable us to expand our reach and impact. Our goal is to positively impact the lives of at least 1 million people within the next three years.
